CBS Outdoor Americas is now Outfront Media

NEW YORK — CBS Outdoor Americas today began a month-long transformation to its new identity: Outfront Media.

The new name will break the last ties of its former status as a division of CBS Corp., and include rebranding more than 100,000 displays in North America.

The Outfront name, according the to the company, symbolizes the Company’s unique portfolio of billboards and displays in the most desired locations, including landmark positions in high-traffic areas, retail districts, transit hubs and iconic destinations.

The company made the most of the new identity announcement, including a party-in-a-box sent to offices nationwide. The party gear, featuring the new signature color of purple for Outfront, appeared in a company celebratory video and a Twitter photo of Male getting into the spirit.

The final step in taking a new identity will be on Nov. 20, 2014, when the company moves from the New York Stock Exchange ticker symbol of CBSO to Outfront’s OUT. The company will be reintroduced online at www.outfrontmedia.com.

The rebrand follows a year of major milestones, which include the company’s IPO in March, separation from CBS and conversion to a REIT in July, and the acquisition of outdoor assets from Van Wagner being completed earlier this month.

In addition to a new brand, the Company is introducing new products and services aimed at enhancing its customers’ advertising campaigns. These include the introduction of Outfront Insiders, a community of consumers sharing insights on emerging trends and topics, as well as Outfront Studio, a new, in-house creative boutique for designing advertising campaigns.

The company will also deploy new technologies and digital innovations enabling clients to leverage the latest social, local and mobile platforms for engaging with their customers.
